An introductory seminar for technical specialists in the city of Novosibirsk, Russia

In the beginning of October SKB EP organized an introductory seminar along with the official dealer Terra Impex, LLC. SKB EP specialist gave an introduction on how to run control and diagnostics of high-voltage equipment with SKB EP instruments.

The seminar was organized for technical specialists, who are responsible for operating, repair, installation and adjustment of high-voltage switching equipment.

During the seminar our specialist presented all the SKB EP instruments, and participants showed particular interest to instruments for measuring electric resistance, such as MIKO-8M milliohmmeter and MIKO-10 portable microohmmeter.

Seminar participants noted that MIKO-8M has a wide range of measuring electric resistance (10 µOhm ÷ 10 kOhm) and provides fast measuring process of diagnostics. For example, it takes only 1.2 min to measure resistance of 1 HV winding in power transformer 80000 V / 110 A and 5.7 min in power transformer 250000 V / 500 A. Furthermore, the instrument has a functional solution which is a combination of milliohmmeter mode and OLTC in-place check mode (DRM-test). This distinctive feature enables to receive more comprehensive information of the technical condition of a transformer.

Specialists appreciated portability and convenience of MIKO-10 use. The instrument can be fixed on the wrist by special belts leaving both hands free to facilitate measuring process. Resistance range is 1 ÷ 100 000 µΩ. Rated current is 10 A. Moreover, microohmmeter can be easily taken off from the wrist and fixed on the waist or on the neck, and also set on any flat surface.

After the theoretical part of the event every participant had an opportunity to study the interface of PKR-2M, PKV/M7 in a new case, MIKO-8M and MIKO-10, and ask questions on the practical usage of the instruments.

A lot of participants noted that SKB EP instruments have wide functionality and new technology implemented at a reasonable price which gives the instruments a big advantage against foreign analogues.
