NEW DEVELOPMENT PKV/M15 IN BASIC MODIFICATION is a portable device that is designed to measure parameters of time of SF6, oil, electromagnetic and vacuum high-voltage circuit breakers up to 220 kV of all types (ABB, AREVA, ALSTOM, SIEMENS, etc.).
PKV/M15 combines the best of its predecessors, taking into account modern high-speed base in a new compact and portable case.
In accordance with instructions of many vacuum and SF6 circuit breakers manufacturers, it is required to control only time parameters during operation. For some models of circuit breakers the speed of contacts movement can be normalized depending on the time of the travel control section passing. The circuit breakers of that type are equipped with a special device (which is included into the kit of spare parts and accessories) to control the travel time for the control section (isolated section) during the dynamic closing and opening. In this case, a special device is connected to the channel of PKV/M15 in basic modification, which automatically determines the travel time for the isolated section.
At some brands of vacuum circuit breakers parameters of moving contacts, insulating traction, contact clamping, contact wear are normalized for static positions of the circuit breaker, and are defined by means of the measuring tool, that is specified in the user manual of the circuit breaker (caliper, ruler, etc.). Control of these parameters by standard means does not cause difficulties during circuit breaker operation, using the instrument PKV/M15 in the basic modification, and it is not necessary to control these parameters in dynamics.
Object diagnostic results are displayed as data with measured and calculated parameters for each cycle operation (when processing the measurement results of complex cycles, the device automatically divides the cycle into simple operations).
The results provide data on time parameters such as circuit breaker make time, circuit breaker closing time, pole closing time, time difference of contacts action, bouncing in time.
One of the significant differences between PKV/M15 and previous models of PKV-group instruments is implementation of additional types of measurement triggering, which take into account various circumstances during diagnostic:

PKV/M15 IN BASIC MODIFICATION is equipped with a power control module for control of switching device drive of both direct and alternating current. Power control module allows you to perform simple operations (in order to perform complex cycles consider PKV/M15 IN EXPERT MODIFICATION).
PKV/M15 IN BASIC MODIFICATION is an independent instrument for diagnostic and presentation of obtained numerical data on the display.
Measurement results can be transmitted via Bluetooth to a mobile device (phone, tablet) to a special software (software is currently under development).
Additionally, the device can be operated under the control of a mobile device via Bluetooth.
PKV/M15 is built into an ergonomic case, which facilitates interaction with the instrument. Weight and dimensional parameters (1 kg / 165 x 100 x 60 mm) rightfully allow us to call PKV/M15 a portable measuring instrument.
A built-in battery provides full autonomy. One charge of the device is enough for at least 4 hours of continuous operation.
Non-volatile memory of 32 MB is enough for a complete inspection of substation facilities.
PKV/M15 is available in two versions (BASIC and EXPERT) that differ in measuring transducers and a set of complex cycles for high-voltage circuit breaker control.

It is always possible to upgrade PKV/M15 in BASIC MODIFICATION to an EXPERT MODIFICATION. For this purpose, you need to order a special activation code as well as measuring transducers with a special attachment devices set kit.

Manipulating rod is designed for test cables connection from the ground or from the tank cover to the bushings of high-voltage circuit breakers, and to the structural elements of high-voltage disconnecting switches and earthing devices, without the use of ladders or elevated platforms. The manipulating rod is completed with special extension cables. There is a Kelvin clamp with current and potential contacts to connect to the object on one side, and a contact pad on the other side. The device test cable is connected to the contact pad from the ground or a tank cover. Manipulating rod extension cable is made according to a four-wire (Kelvin) scheme with the test current capacity of 100 A in the presence of a good contact.
