MIKO instruments are conquering the Thai market!

Step by step, SKB EP is strengthening its presence in Thailand together with the official distributor. MIKO instruments are being adopted both in the power sector and in industry – more and more companies are choosing them.

Earlier this year, a MIKO-7M(A) winding resistance meter was supplied to a major state-owned power company.

Later, specialists from another two divisions of that company also purchased MIKO-21 high–precision micro-ohmmeters with a brief training by SKB EP’s Thai distributor. The instrument is convenient to use and provides accurate results, which encourages further supplies across the country.

At the beginning of September, another shipment and training session took place — this time for the MIKO-9A winding resistance meter. The customer was one of the country’s largest cement producers. This company already had MIKO-9A in use at one of the plants. They liked the device performance and purchased a second unit for another facility. Both devices will serve around one hundred transformers, helping to ensure equipment reliability.

The advanced MIKO-9A winding resistance meter measures DC resistance from 1 μΩ to 30 kΩ at a test current of 10 A, records oscillograms of OLTC contactor switching, and performs demagnetization and heat-run tests. Thanks to this functionality, a single device covers several diagnostic tasks, saves specialists’ time and improves diagnostic quality.

SKB EP and the partner in Thailand continue to develop cooperation and prepare new projects for the country’s power and industrial sectors!
