SKB EP presents the new MIKO-1M micro-ohmmeter

SKB EP is launching a new industrial micro-ohmmeter, the MIKO-1M, available in two modifications, designed to measure low contact resistance in the range from 1 μΩ to 0.1 Ω with an accuracy of ±0.2%. The device is designed for diagnosing high-voltage circuit breakers, current-carrying connections, bolted, welded, and soldered joints of current-carrying wires and busbars, and other electrical equipment.

This new development is a logical continuation of the company's history: the instrument is built on the basis of the legendary and popular MIKO-1. It was this model that started the history of micro-ohmmeters at SKB EP, and for many users it became a benchmark associated with the quality of the brand. The new MIKO-1M preserves these traditions while offering modern technological solutions.

The MIKO-1M line of two modifications — MIKO-1M-50A и MIKO-1M-100A — with test currents of 50 A and 100 A allows users to choose the optimal solution for different tasks. A test current of 50 A eliminates the effect of oil and oxide films on contacts, ensuring reliable contact resistance values, while the 100 A modification is available for tasks that require a higher test current.

The instruments support 4 measurement start modes: Single, Periodic, Periodic circuit, and a dedicated mode for circuit breakers with built-in current transformers. This functionality simplifies diagnostics, automates repeated measurements, and accounts for the influence of inductance without introducing additional error.

To increase reliability, the device automatically checks the integrity of the measuring circuit before starting work. The instrument is resistant to strong industrial interference, making it suitable for use in research laboratories, active power facilities, and industrial sites.

A built-in archive for 256 measurements and the ability to transfer data via USB simplify result processing (PC software is currently under development), while the compact size and weight of just 3.5 kg make the device convenient for working at sites with limited access and for measurements at height.
