Participation in exhibition "Energetika & Elektrotechnika 2015"

XXII International Exhibition "Energetika & Elektrotechnika 2015" was held on May 18-22, 2015 in St. Petersburg. The stand of SKB EP was attended by more than 100 people. These were mainly power specialists involved in repair and maintenance of high-voltage equipment as well as its manufacturers: branches of IDGC of Centre and FGC UES, RES, CJSC, Obyedinennaya Energeticheskaya Kompania, Power Machines, JSC, Power Machines – Toshiba. High-Voltage Transformers, LLC, Gazprom Leningrad Region Gas Distribution, PJSC, etc.

The entire product range of instruments for in-place control of high-voltage circuit breakers and transformers produced by SKB EP was presented on the exhibition, among them: microohmmeter MIKO-21 and specialized instrument for transformer OLTC control PKR-2M.

The stand visitors were interested in new instruments due to the number of parameters:

The only microohmmeter MIKO-21 with measurement accuracy of ±0.1%.

  • Designed to measure the transient contact resistance of high-voltage circuit breakers at DC up to 200A (carries out measurements at the rated currents up to 100A and 200A) in the range from 0.1 µOhm to 2 Ohm;
  • Has integrated database of certified resistance values Rtrans. of circuit breaker contacts that makes it possible to automatically compare the measured value with the certified one when specifying the circuit breaker mark;
  • Has interactive controls (via the membrane keyboard and touch screen of color display) and advanced functionality (control from PC, USB-port/USB Flash, which facilitates data transfer from the instrument to the enterprise database).

Instrument for transformer OLTC control PKR-2M.

  • Designed for in-place checking (DRM method) of technical condition of OLTCs of all types, both resistor and reactor devices.
  • Implementation of DRM method does not require: tank or hatch opening of fault-free/faulty OLTC instrument and oil drain; extra money and labor to carry out diagnostics of OLTCs; connection of additional elements or knowledge of the resistance of current-limiting resistors of the device under test, as all tuning to a specific OLTC is performed in the instrument automatically.
  • Ability to take circle diagrams of reactor and resistor OLTCs, oscillograms of switching of OLTC resistor contactor and formation of table containing the amount of drive shaft revolutions in the moments of switching.

The exhibition participants noted the following instruments which have already proved themselves on the measuring equipment market:

  • Micromillikiloohmmeter MIKO-2.3, which works in four modes: microohmmeter, milliohmmeter, kiloohmmeter and thermometer which makes it possible to cover all measurement tasks regarding electrical resistance to direct current of switching device units. In addition, with entire weight of 2.7 kg MIKO-2.3 provides current up to 1000 A (heavy current makes it possible to burn oxide films formed on the contacts giving a significant error in the resistance measurement).
  • Instrument for control of high-voltage circuit breakers PKV/M7 and its modern functionality: All calculations are performed automatically and issued in the form of illustrative graphs and tables. In addition, it is possible to save the diagnostic results in the instrument archive for further analysis and reporting, as well as to transfer all data to the computer, if necessary.
  • Milliohmmeters MIKO-7 and MIKO-8:

MIKO-7 in two software versions: standard and advanced software when it is possible to choose the desired functionality.

Instrument MIKO-8, as the only milliohmmeter with the mode of “in-place diagnostics of OLTCs” (DRM).

Measurements in the mode of milliohmmeter and in the mode of in-place check complement each other and give more complete picture of transformer condition. Operation of the instrument in this mode consists in the measurement of dynamic transient resistances in OLTC and today it is the only method that allows for effective diagnostics of OLTC technical condition without opening the tank.

In both milliohmmeters produced by SKB EP visitors of the stand noted significant, in their opinion, advantage, among similar instruments - complete automation of the measurement process, which saves a significant part of working time.

Milliohmmeters MIKO-7 and MIKO-8 are modern instruments aimed at convenient operation that is why they perform a number of settings and automatic calculations without user intervention:

  • Calculation of relative deviation of winding electric resistance of three phases from each other;
  • Conversion of linear electrical resistance of windings connected in a delta or star circuit to the electrical resistance of the phase windings;
  • Conversion of linear electrical resistance of windings, measured at current temperature to electric resistance at certified temperature (taking into account winding material);
  • Calculation of the deviations measured and reduced to certified temperature of electrical resistance of windings with respect to certified resistance values;
  • Calculation of winding temperature according to its measured and certified value of electrical resistance and certified temperature, etc.

If you were unable to visit our stand, you can always ask questions about the equipment of interest by e-mail (skb@skbpribor.com) or phone (+7(3952) 719-148), as well as using the feedback form on the website.

If you desire to study the instruments on the practical training in details, SKB EP offers its training services. The workshop plan will be made on an individual basis, taking into account the acquired instruments and/or instruments of interest as well as existing diagnostic instruments. You can always make a request for workshop on the Company’s website, and our specialists will contact you.
